I am honored to see Art That Works® recognized by the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts and Culture and the City Arts Advisory Committee as a 2020 recipient of their Santa Barbara Business in Art Award.

The award is given to a business or individual that “exhibits outstanding support of arts activity in our community, creating a stronger, more vibrant arts environment in Santa Barbara and enriching the lives of both residents and visitors”

Santa Barbara has an amazing amount of art and culture, and it has been my pleasure to create Public Art to enhance this beautiful city.

We all benefit from the tireless efforts of the Arts Commission, the Arts support staff for the City and County, and the incredible Santa Barbara Library system. They are the unsung heroes that help make Santa Barbara such a wonderful place to live, work and play.

(The most significant project I did in Santa Barbara in 2019 and 2020 was the Tiny Libraries project, which started life as a temporary exhibit on State Street in the fall of 2019 and went on to tour sites throughout the County in 2020. The Tiny Libraries are planned to come back to State Street in 2021.)
